abstractRecent data and information from APSA describe a crisis for Political Science educators in terms of addressing the changing needs and challenges facing students as well as the declining enrollments in Political Science curriculum across the nation. Two issues found with these reports are that 1) none of them address major outcomes as a way to address creating curriculum standards across the board to meet the desired results of a better prepared major student and 2) the courses do little to address the multiple career paths of Political Science majors. This paper addresses these two areas and how they can create a better identity for a department.
