"description": "Recent political events have raised concerns about Americans’ commitment to democracy and the stability of democratic institutions and processes. The states vary greatly in their support and investment in institutional designs and behaviors that are intended to strengthen democracy. We invite substantive politics, policy, management, and methods papers, posters and roundtables that promote our understanding of public policy and politics as well as strengthening access to and positive impacts for citizens from policy and politics. Faculty from the FSU Departments of Political Science and the Askew School of Public Administration and Policy will join to organize panels and posters. In addition, a mini conference on Identity Politics in the States will be included on Saturday afternoon after lunch; the mini conference will culminate with a dinner that evening. That meeting will be organized by Prof. Mirya Holman from Tulane University, Rebecca Kreitzer of UNC-Chapel Hill and members of the faculty at FSU.\n\nhttps://coss.fsu.edu/sppc2022/",
