Approximately 330 well-known threatened species across four IUCN categories:
- Critically Endangered (CR): ~80 species
- Endangered (EN): ~100 species
- Vulnerable (VU): ~100 species
- Near Threatened (NT): ~50 species
Species span mammals, birds, reptiles, amphibians, bony fish, cartilaginous fish, and invertebrates from all major geographic regions.
